全句应该是两个现在分词并列，对句子的谓语动词进行进一步的解释。只有A选项符合要求。在做有关平行的试题时，对平行的第一部分进行研究非常必要。在本题中，未被划线的using显然是平行的第一部分，所以在and后必然也是个V-ing的结构。

在SAT考试中，经常也会考查下列结构的平行。
