Shoot someone down 的本意是“拒绝”，而且是那种让人难堪，不留情面的拒绝。好比你去面试的时候：

A：Did you get the new job? 你新工作了吗？

B：No, the boss shot me down in the interview. ，那老板在面试的时候不留余地数落我。

例：Last week the Star Bakery made 3 kinds of cakes. One half of the cakes were made with 4 eggs each, two thirds of the rest of the cakes were made with 3 eggs each, and the remaining 54 cakes were made with 2 eggs each.

B虽然做到了用两个名词结构，但存在三个问题。因为people是复数，所以has应为have；即使改为have, people who have not intelligence的表达也很奇怪，应该说people who don't have intelligence或people who have no intelligence；另外，和low motivation平行的结构也应该是个形容词＋名词的形式，但B采用的是一个介词短语来修饰其前面的名词结构。同时，B的表达非常唆，不符合SAT的简洁性原则。

问题的英语怎么说：

这样文章看起来就比较平衡，又不失自己的见解。

D的最大问题是Greg没有谓语，who引导的是一个定语从句，这样一来，整个大句子没有主句。如果把who以及前面的逗号去掉，则D为最佳选项。
