因此，笔者对任务型语言教学的理解是：设定一个任务，让学生在完成任务的过程中习得语言。而任务简言之就是“做事”，去做一件富有意义并且与真实世界相关联的事，促进学生情感的激发和动力的生成。总之，对英语教师来说，重要的不是定义，而是运用。只要我们了解了任务型语言教学的理论依据和基本思路，就可以自己发挥、创造、逐步形成自己行之有效的教学模式。
