第二，不要一遇到生词就查词典，要学会猜词。如果一遇到生词就查词典，这样会影响阅读速度。另一方面，一个单词往往会有许多意思，有时不联系文章特定的情景，很难确定生词的确切含义。学生们可以根据上下文和构词法等规则去大胆地猜这个生词在文中可能是什么意思。如能猜中词意，那么学生会对阅读英文文章兴趣倍增，会有成就感，这样对提高英语水平非常有益。
