一看便知此处的are要改为is。但SAT绝对不可能出这样的弱智题，它通常的做法是把句子的主语和谓语动词之间用很长的干扰信息分隔开。这就要求考生必须能越过这些干扰，迅速找到句子的主语和谓语部分，看看它们是否在数的方面相吻合。
